Life & Service

Duane D. Pearsall was born in Pontiac, Michigan on March 3, 1922. He was a World War II veteran who served in the Naval Air Corps as a decorated pilot and remained active in the Naval Air Reserve until 1954, at which point he was employed at Honeywell Corporation. He married the former Marjorie Lee Fewel on July 22, 1944. They raised four children. Ever devoted to his family, Duane passed away on April 11, 2010, at his Denver, Colorado home.

The following exhibit items are grouped into five thematic sections and represent a lifetime of awards and recognition for Pearsall's service in the Navy and his work in fire protection engineering; other papers related to his service as a Navy pilot, including flight logs, certificates, and ID cards; additional biographical materials, including personal memories, resumes, and more; memorabilia, including medals, paperweights, and business cards; and photographs.
